OUR 6 STEP FINANCIAL PLANNING PROCESS
1. INITIAL EXPLORATORY MEETING
This initial meeting (not charged to our client) is when we ask lots of questions about your attitude to investment risk and your financial objectives We really need to know what you want your money to do for you.
2. FACT FINDING AND DATA GATHERING MEETING
We write to your existing providers for information about your plans. This generally takes 4 weeks so we book in a meeting for 4 weeks’ time.
3. COMPREHENSIVE FINANCIAL PLANNING REPORT
We spend a lot of time getting this absolutely right as it is personal to each client. We write a Suitability Report which includes an analysis of your current plans, a set of recommendations and a suitable investment portfolio together with an action plan.
4. FINANCIAL PLANNING REPORT PRESENTATION
At this point we meet with you again to present our recommendations. We present the Suitability Report and explain how you could achieve your financial objectives and investment decisions you need to make to put the plan in place; we’ll help you decide how much of the advice you want to implement and determine what actions you need to take and a timetable.
5. IMPLEMENTATIONS OF OUR RECOMMENDATIONS
We sort out and manage the paperwork for you and implement any changes you have agreed as per our recommendations and advice.
6. ON-GOING SERVICE, REVIEW AND REBALANCING
If you have selected an ongoing service, we set up future diary appointments to review your plans, so your portfolio remains on-track to achieve your goals. We let you know about any regulatory changes that might affect you.
We offer investment advice services to assist our customers through their various life stages, whether it’s saving towards your children’s future, or reviewing an existing investment portfolio with the aim of providing a secure retirement.
We will fully assess your needs and requirements and attitude to risk and recommend investment products and portfolios that will meet your needs. We will consider your individual circumstances and any tax considerations.
If you have existing investments we can review those for you to check that they are appropriate for you and also look at the performance, charges and risk compared to other options available.
Our client portfolios invest in a wide range of assets including equities, bonds, property and structured products. Our portfolios are constructed to fit your circumstances and objectives and to ensure you are invested in holdings that you are comfortable with whether you are looking for growth or income.
We offer an on-going review service to continue to monitor your portfolios performance, volatility, risk and performance. We also keep in regular contact with our clients to ensure that their investments continue to match their circumstances in the future should anything alter.
Taxation planning is a key area of our investment financial advice and we look to maximise tax efficiency as far as possible as this can add significant value to your portfolio.
The value of investments and income from them can go down. You may not get back the original amount invested.
Retirement and Pension Planning
If you have existing arrangements we can review them to check that they are appropriate for your needs and look at the performance, charges and risk compared to alternative options available. We are able to advise you on all types of pensions both pre and post retirement including Personal Pensions, Company Pensions, Annuities and Drawdown. We also have the specialist qualifications required to advise you on Final Salary Arrangements within our Network.
We will assess your circumstances and take into consideration other assets, investments, existing pensions and State pension provision to provide you with a retirement forecast and identify any shortfalls in your retirement provision.
We can then put in place an investment strategy with the aim to meet your future objectives.
Similarly, to Investment Planning we will consider your attitude to risk and recommend an appropriate strategy for you. We also offer ongoing review services to continue to monitor the risk, performance and retirement projections to try to ensure you remain on track to meet your goals.
When you reach retirement, we can advise you on the full range of products and options that are available to you. We can also advise you on how best to pass on funds to your family or loved ones in the event of death.
A Pension is a long term investment, the fund value may fluctuate and can go down. Your eventual income may depend upon the size of the fund at retirement, future interest rates and tax legislation.
Financial protection against an accident, illness or death should be a top priority. Whether it is to provide a lump sum to clear loans, an income to protect your outgoings if unable to work, or to provide an income or lump sum for your loved ones.
We can advise you on all areas of financial protection and will establish and prioritise your needs and shortfalls to put a plan together.
We will also consider and advise you on inheritance tax implications and set up the policies under trust or assignment if necessary.
These plans have no cash in value at any time and will cease at the end of the term. If premiums are not maintained, then cover will lapse.
The Financial Conduct Authority does not regulate Inheritance tax planning.
